Delta 8 Cartridge
Delta 8 THC has grown quite a bit in popularity recently, and for good reason. Unlike “traditional” THC, Delta 8 is not illegal on a federal level, making it more legally accessible throughout the United States. Another reason for its popularity is that it offers a milder high, giving all of the benefits and enjoyable effects of THC, but without the risk of paranoia or anxiety. This makes it a good choice for people who have a lot to do throughout the day as well.

What is Delta 8 THC?
THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol, which many will be quick to identify as the main chemical compound that gives cannabis its psychoactive properties. Technically speaking, THC describes several isomers that can be found in cannabis and hemp plants. When most people say THC, however, they are specifically referring to the Delta 9 isomer. Remembering our chemistry classes, isomers are molecules that have the same number of elements, but different arrangements. In the case of Delta 9 (the “usual” THC isomer), the molecule has a double bond on the ninth link of the carbon chain.
Delta 8 is an isomer of Delta 9. Their chemical formulas are identical, but the Delta 8 molecule has a double bond on the eighth link of the chain rather than the ninth. This might seem like a small change in structure—quite literally microscopic—but that small change results in fairly big differences that should be taken into account. First, since the two molecules aren’t identical, they’re bound to interact differently with your Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Second, it is important to note that the compound considered illegal on a federal level is specifically Delta 9, but this is only one out of over a hundred different cannabinoids found in hemp or cannabis plants. This is why other cannabinoids such as CBD are fully legal to purchase and consume in many states. Delta 8 is similar to CBD in this way. Since it isn’t identical molecularly to Delta 9. Delta 8 is considered fully legal in at least 32 states.

What is Delta 8 cartridge?
Generally speaking, cartridges are filled with cannabinoids in liquid form to be used with vape pens, and are often called “carts” for short. Whether you’re consuming CBD, Delta 9, or Delta 8, cartridges and vape pens are a popular choice that have steadily grown in popularity over the years. Some people simply prefer vaping over traditional consumption methods. Others find vapes and cartridges just that much more convenient. Others, still, are attracted to the large variety of vibrant flavors associated with cartridges.
Whatever your reasons might be, vapes and cartridges are a great and easy way to enjoy any cannabinoid, especially Delta 8. These Delta 8 cartridges specifically are filled with hemp derived D8 oil and natural terpenes for plenty of flavor. There’s also a wide variety of interesting flavors to choose from, from the sweet and fruity taste of Mochi to the sour and earthy tones of AK47.
Can a Delta 8 cartridge get you high?
Yes, Delta 8 cartridges can get you high. Delta 8 and Delta 9 are isomers making them very similar chemically, so it makes sense that both would have psychoactive properties. That being said, that small difference in the atomic arrangements is enough to show up in the differences between the respective highs.
Most people would describe Delta 8 as having a “milder” high than Delta 9. You can certainly expect many of the great benefits of Delta 9 such as relaxation, euphoria, and pain-relief, but all of this without running the risk of paranoia or anxiety. If you’ve tried THC before but had a bad experience with these uncomfortable side effects, the mellower high of Delta 8 might be a better option for you.
This milder high has additional benefits, as well. A Delta 9 high is more intense, which means that a lot of people need to have an open schedule before partaking. Depending on your THC tolerance, a Delta 9 high might leave you “couched” for the rest of the day, making it difficult or impossible to get any important work done.
Delta 8, on the other hand, tends to give you a high that is both present and pleasant, but that also allows you to focus on other things that you have to do. In contrast, CBD is popular due to being able to deliver great benefits such as anxiety and pain relief with no high at all. Delta 8 is the perfect middle-ground: you still get the benefits, you still get to feel the high, but the high is less intense and manageable, allowing you to still have an active day.
What is the difference between CBD cartridges and Delta 8 cartridges?
The strict difference is pretty clear: one cartridge is filled with CBD-dominant cannabinoids while the other cartridge is filled with Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol cannabinoids. While these are both cannabinoids that are found naturally in both hemp and cannabis plants, their chemical and molecular structures are quite different.
The main psychoactive ingredient usually associated with cannabis is Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or Delta 9. As we mentioned before, although “THC” technically describes multiple cannabinoids, it usually refers to Delta 9 specifically. Delta 8 is one of those cannabinoids that can fit under the “THC” umbrella, and it’s a Delta 9 isomer. CBD, on the other hand, stands for cannabidiol, and while it is also a cannabinoid, it is entirely absent of any THC. This also means that it isn’t itself a psychoactive component of cannabis (or hemp). This difference makes CBD and Delta 8 quite different on a consumption level since CBD will not deliver a high, but Delta 8 certainly will.
How do you use the Delta 8 cartridge?
One of the great things about cartridges and vaping is that it’s a straightforward, universal process. Use your Delta 8 cartridges the same way you would any other cartridge, and enjoy the mellow ride.
