5 Baked Recipes You Need to Try Using Bubba Kush CBD Flower

At ELYXR, we’re here to make your hemp-related dreams come true.  That means that if your dream is to make the tastiest edibles, our flower can help you create the perfect batch time and time again.  Our Bubba Kush CBD Flower is a great choice for flower lovers seeking out a particularly potent high that promises a strong and soothing body effect and an intensely euphoric mental buzz.  While our customers love to smoke and vape this flower, it also makes for the perfect addition to your favorite baking recipe.

Making Your Cannabutter

Before you make edibles with ELYXR’ CBD flower, you need to make an infused butter, aka “cannabutter”.  Measure out about 2 cups of flower buds and sprinkle them on a baking sheet lined in parchment paper.  Bake at 250 degrees for about 25 minutes to decarboxylate, or “activate” the cannabinoids.

Now, you’ll want to coarsely grind the flower.  Meanwhile, place two sticks of unsalted butter into a saucepan with a cup of water, and then throw the flower in there.  Simmer for about 2 and a half hours without ever letting it reach a boil.  Then, strain the butter to remove the bits of bud, and place in a jar.  This butter can last for up to 6 months in the refrigerator.

There’s nothing like a moist, chewy blondie to act as the perfect alternative to the more ubiquitous brownie.  These blondies use chocolate chips, but you can switch them out for white chocolate chips, coconut flakes or toasted nuts.

  • ¾ cup cannabutter, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a 9x13inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Beat together the butter and sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
  4. Then, beat in the egg and vanilla.
  5. Gradually whisk in the flower, followed by baking powder and salt.
  6. Beat on low until a batter forms.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into your tray evenly.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
  10. Allow it to rest for 30 minutes before slicing it into squares.

Banana Bread

Banana bread is the perfect treat for any time of day.  It’s just as tasty as breakfast as it is an after-dinner dessert.  This banana bread has that fluffy texture and rich banana taste that always hits the spot.

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup cannabutter, softened at room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 very ripe bananas, mashed into a paste
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  5. Whisk in the eggs, followed by the bananas and vanilla.
  6. Slowly pour the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture, whisking until you get a smooth batter.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the bread comes out clean.

Sugar Cookies

There’s never a bad time for a sugar cookie, and our sugar cookie recipe gives you the perfect rich and buttery cookie taste, which can be enjoyed on its own or decorated to your heart’s content for a special occasion.

  • ¾ cup cannabutter, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  1. Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla.
  3. In another mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
  4. Then, slowly beat the dry ingredients into the wet ingredient mixture, beating just until the dough comes together.
  5. Cover the dough with saran wrap and chill overnight.
  6. The next day, liberally flour your rolling surface and rolling pin, and roll out the dough to about ¼ inches of thickness evenly.
  7. Use a cookie cutter to cut out individual cookies.
  8. Bake the cookies for about 18-20 minutes, or until the edges just start to brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool for an hour if you plan to decorate them.

Garlic Bread

For a savory treat, there is nothing quite as easy as garlic bread.  Garlic bread even pairs well with just about any dinner – although it’s so tasty, you may just wanna eat it straight outta the oven – we can hardly blame you.

  • 1 large loaf of Italian bread, sliced into 1-inch slices
  • 1/2 cup cannabutter
  • About one head of garlic, peeled and minced
  • Salt to taste
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.
  3. In a small pan, add the garlic and butter.
  4. Stir while the butter melts and keep the heat at medium.
  5. Allow the garlic to soften before removing from the heat.
  6. Lay out each slice of bread on the pan.
  7. Take a kitchen brush and use it to brush the individual bread slices in the garlic and butter mixture.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the bread has turned golden-brown.

Cheddar Scones

We usually think of scones as a sweet treat to have with high tea.  But these cheddar scones are deliciously savory, and a great alternative to bread when you’re serving soup.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup cannabutter, chilled and diced into cubes
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup cream
  • 6 ounces grated cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped chives
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt with a beater.
  4. Then, add the butter in slowly, keeping the speed on low.
  5. Whisk together the cream and eggs in a small bowl.
  6. Pour them into the dough mixture while still beating.
  7. Next, mix in the cheese and chives until the dough just comes together.
  8. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and knead until the dough becomes fluffy and no longer sticky.
  9. Roll the dough out to about an inch in thickness and cut into wedges or use a biscuit cutter to cut circles.
  10. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the scones turn golden-brown.

David Nadel

David Nadel is a freelance copywriter and content writer who has been doing content creation since late 2014. He originally worked at a marketing tech company in Boston doing email marketing and SEO display ad campaigns (where he helped to create the content for those emails and banner ads for clients) before going full time as a freelance writer in 2017.

It all started working with clients in the vaping industry in 2013, where David got his opportunities to do more freelance work for that industry the following year because of his success with helping those clients with emails and ads. And, which led him writing for the hemp industry too, as he had already been an avid cannabis enthusiast going all the way back to 2011.

Because of his extensive knowledge and legit passion with non-psychoactive and psychoactive cannabinoids, coupled with his better understanding of shrooms (mushrooms) since 2015, and the kratom/kava industry since 2019, it has allowed him to create some of the most remarkable, out-of-the box, and informative content in the industry.

Even today, David still keeps on top of what’s happening in the cannabis, shrooms, and kratom/kava industries, like new research and data studies, wellness trends, legality, and emerging cannabinoids and strains, in order to supply the most up-to-date, precise educational, fun, and engaging content. That way, new and experienced users alike can really understand what this amazing industry has to offer while still being fully informed.
